One would think that the Irish would have the best remedies for hangovers, but, helas, they usually just suffer and are known, anyway, for their beer drinking, in particular their famous GUINNESS.
In Russia, now these are where one finds the real professional drinkers. Beer drinking is just like drinking Coca Cola and is done so much in the streets on the way to work that the Russian Parliament banned Public Beer Drinking In All Public Places in October. The Parliament wants to instill a culture of indoor beer drinking.

Russian's Drinking In Streets Of Moscow
We all know of the Russians and their penchant for their famous Vodka (arguably the world's best). They even go to great lengths in other former Eastern Block countries to create secret underground "Moonshine" pipelinesbetween non-EU countries to neighboring EU countries (due to EU's higher prices).
Russian Still.
Oh, yes, back to the hangover cures courtesy of MOSNEWS.COM, as are the other articles above.
One Russian hangover cure, centuries old and the most popular, is the brine from either pickles or Russian sauerkraut, which contain large quantities of potassium and magnesium. The Russian's also delude themselves the next day by drinking kvass, a brown malt beverage made of fermented rye bread, or sipping warm beer the next day, thus keeping the binge going strong.
Another Russian day-after cure is the mixture of eggs, spices, and tomato juice; of which one of these concoctions is called the "Sick Head." And then go and lie down with a very cold towel on the forehead.
Food is also a great hangover cure; the greasier, the better. One such food is called Haash ( not the drug!) made of tripe, beef feet, radish, and lots of garlic cooked for six hours.
Even Czar Nicholas II had his own remedy made of a slice of lemon, with a teaspoon of sugar and coffee each on top, and eat in ONE bite.
Czar Nicholas II (1868-1918)[shot to death, but not because of a hangover].
If you're too hung over to put the above concoctions together, take "Alka-Seltzer and Sleep," or instant coffee mixed with coca-cola.
Then, and this is not Russian but was initially created by the CIA, yes, THAT CIA, is the "Hangover Pill" now sold in most liquor stores world wide.
