SHEIK HORN,a.k.a., ARMY STAFF SGT. DALE L. HORN, 1st. OFFICIAL U.S. IRAQI SHEIK, A NATIVE OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLA.Sheik Horn.
Sheik Horn, 25, is a member of the 2nd. Battalion, 8th. Field Artillery Regiment stationed in rural Iraq.
In order to stop the incessant rocket and mortar attacks on the post, Staff Sgt. Horn, a diminutive 5 foot 6 inch tall man with the only blonde streaked mustache was voted by 37 local Sheiks, on a voice vote, as an official sheik. He was given the necessary sheep, five, and a postage stamp piece of Iraq to qualify.
His mentor, a friend to the U.S. forces in the area, allows him to visit and help 37 local villagers with their daily problems.
Now, 100-200 village leaders meet with Horn to discuss security issues.
The other Sheiks also urged him to take on a second wife, which was immediately nixed by his wife.
Since he has become a flowing white robed Sheik, rocket and mortar attacks in the region have stopped over the past half-year.
Before Staff Sgt. Horn leaves, the other Sheiks are awarding him an official document deeming him a Sheik, which he plans to frame on his return to the U.S. in 2 months.
As for the flowing robes, he may occasionally wear them in the U.S.
