COGNAC TO GO WHERE NO COGNAC HAS EVER GONE BEFORE: OUTER SPACE.A ban on alcohol at the International Space Station (ISS) could be lifted in 2006, allowing the flow of "rationed" alcohol at the ISS.
International Space Station
Russian health officials want liquor on the ISS. NASA is the spoil sport. NASA wants a teetotaling ISS. But they seem to be on the losing side in this dramatic event.
Ever since Russia's Mir space station the station was always supplied with moderate amounts of alcohol to ease the cosmonaut's strenous activities in space. During a space walk an astronaut can lose several pounds of weight over a few hours, and the Russian's feel a good nip will restore energy to the astronauts.
Russia's Mir Space Station
Contraband chocolate alcohol has already been detected before shipment to the ISS and taken out of the shipment.
If all goes well, Cosmonauts may soon be drinking their preferred drink: Russian Cognac.
Popular Russian Cognac
Let's all lift a glass of cheer that the Russian's win their battle against teetotaling NASA.
